Community Engagement Officer

Position to be based at our headspace Adelaide centre.

Join our multidisciplinary mental health team!

The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for planning and implementing centre engagement activities, supporting the services through community engagement and participation activities and developing resources that support enhancement of mental health literacy and reduce stigma related to mental illness in the wider community.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have exceptional time management skills to determine priorities and meet deadlines, good problem solving skills and proven skills in respecting and maintaining integrity and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive issues.

In-Home Withdrawal Clinical Worker

Position to be based at Sonder Edinburgh North, with outreach to northern and western Adelaide.

Sonder’s In-Home Withdrawal Service provides comprehensive, holistic and coordinated support by a multidisciplinary team for individuals experiencing substance dependence wishing to undergo in-home withdrawal.

The Clinical Worker will be responsible for providing high-quality assessment, treatment and support services to individuals and their families, through evidence-based, therapeutic AOD & Mental Health counselling across the full spectrum of care.

We have partnered to establish a full time PhD opportunity for a suitable candidate to examine improvement opportunities in the youth mental health system. The candidate must hold a first-class honours degree or equivalent. The position will attract a tax-free income over three years.

Mental Health Clinician – Psychology Clinical Registrar Program

Positions available to be based at Sonder Nuriooptpa and Gawler / Barossa co-locations. There may also be opportunities to work at other locations across the organisation.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to gain clinical endorsement through the development of clinical knowledge, skills and experience in a highly supportive and diverse clinical environment.

Working within Sonder’s Mental Health and AOD portfolio, you will experience a unique opportunity to develop a diverse clinical skill set whilst working alongside a team of clinical provisional, generalist and senior psychologists as well as accredited mental health social workers within our Country Mental Health Team.

This opportunity includes a Sonder-allocated Board-approved Supervisor to provide the required supervision needs to reach your clinical endorsement.

Please note that this Registrar opportunity is only available to those psychologists who have completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical) post graduate degree in the previous two year period and are now requiring two years post graduate supervision and experience to achieve relevant clinical endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. Provisional Psychologists who are within six months of completing their Clinical Masters are also encouraged to apply.

We are seeking Psychologists or Occupational Therapists and Accredited Mental Health Social Workers who are registered with APHRA.

Individuals should have a demonstrated ability to provide a range of psychological assessment and/or intervention services to children and/or adults. Previous experience in working in a mental health setting and/or with people with disability is required. Prior experience working within a fee for service environment is an advantage.
