Sonder launches ‘Innovate’ Reconciliation Action Plan this Reconciliation Week

Sonder is proud to announce the launch of its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Sonder’s RAP has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia as an ‘Innovate’ RAP, which acknowledges that we have moved from the scoping to implementation phase of our initiatives.

Sonder’s RAP has been developed in the context of our ongoing reflection of what Sonder is doing and must do better to promote and support Reconciliation. It signifies the organisation’s commitment to continued but amplified efforts to cultivate Relationships, Respect and Opportunities that will bring Sonder’s vision for Reconciliation to life.

Sonder’s vision for reconciliation

Better Care, Better Health & Better Access through a culturally safe workplace which builds understanding, respect and shared responsibility along with community leadership in our reconciliation journey.

Developing a RAP has been in the works at Sonder for some time and it was with great pride that Sonder’s finalised RAP was officially endorsed by Reconciliation Australia recently.

To commemorate the endorsement of the RAP, Sonder will be holding an official launch event at Sonder’s Edinburgh North Centre in July, during NAIDOC Week.

Sonder CEO, Sageran Naidoo says “The RAP is not our destination – it is a roadmap to allow us to be better and gives us the practical framework to build long-lasting internal and external partnerships that will put us on a firm pathway to being culturally safe in all we do.”

“We are proud to take the next steps in our journey to build a society for all Australians where full and equitable citizenship is a right that is bestowed on all and lived by all every day and in every way,” he expressed.
