Sonder appoints inaugural Executive Manager, Disability Services
Sonder is excited to announce the appointment of Kyp Boucher as inaugural Executive Manager of Disability Services, the organisation’s new service stream focused on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Kyp brings to Sonder over 27 years of experience in leadership and management roles across the not-for-profit sector, including most recently as Regional Director at one of South Australia’s largest NDIS providers, Life Without Barriers where she was responsible for the delivery of aged care, mental health and disability services for Life Without Barrier in South Australia.
Kyp has held the position of Board Director of the Mental Health Coalition of South Australia for the past 10 years, has previously held a position on the board of the South Australian Network of Drug and Alcohol Services (SANDAS) and is a current member of the National Disability Services SA State Committee.
In previous roles, Kyp has demonstrated expertise in managing organisational change and has also been responsible for the successful development and implementation of new service models. Having led services across the mental health, disability and aged care sectors, Kyp has passion for influencing the ongoing development of the sectors to better meet the needs of the individuals, particularly for people for multiple and complex needs who have limited formal and informal supports.

Kyp brings a deep understanding of the NDIS to ensure Sonder’s new range of disability services will meet the needs of the people we support. We are confident that Kyp’s experience in leading effective innovation and change in the not-for-profit sector will ensure success as we begin the next chapter of Sonder’s journey into NDIS services, guided by our Strategic Plan.

Sonder’s disability services will support individuals to navigate the NDIS and get the most of their NDIS plans for greater choice and control. Services delivered through the NDIS will include Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support and Intervention, General Counselling, Social Workers and Psych Therapies, Recovery Coaches and Support Coordination.
