CPD education events cancelled

Unfortunately, Sonder’s face-to-face Continuing Professional Development (CPD) education events are cancelled.

As you would no doubt be aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has begun to have an increasing impact across all aspects of society.

Sonder has been adhering to the guidance from the CDC branch of SA Health and we write now to let you know that based on this guidance and direction from our funders, that Sonder has decided to cancel all planned face-to-face CPD activities from now until the end of April.

Our education team is investigating alternate options such as webinars, live streaming or podcasts to deliver the cancelled workshops. If you are registered to attend any of these CPD activities, you will receive an email from Sonder’s Education Team with further information on the relevant session.

While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety of our staff, partners and community very seriously and trust that you will share with us any concerns you may have about this decision.

Protecting yourself and others

Good hygiene practices like washing your hands regularly and covering your coughs and sneezes with a tissue is the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 and other colds and flu.

For information on what you can do to reduce the risk of getting sick or passing infections, see SA Health’s Stop the Spread.

To find out what you need to do if you have been travelling, been in contact with someone known to have COVID-19, or have been advised to self-isolate, see SA Health’s Home Isolation Advice.

Coping and mental health support

It’s normal to feel stress and worry when there is a health event that is affecting people’s wellbeing in the community. For information on coping and mental health support see SA Health’s Mental Health and COVID-19 Fact Sheet.

Fact sheets and translated information

A range of COVID-19 fact sheets, including international language translations, are available on the Australian Government Health website.

What to do if you’re feeling unwell

If you have travelled anywhere overseas in the past 14 days and have COVID-19 symptoms, contact your GP (advise your GP of your travel history) and isolate yourself.

If you have NOT travelled overseas recently, but are feeling unwell, book an appointment with your usual health care provider. Avoid contact with others if you are unwell.
