Sonder to deliver AOD support in regional SA

Sonder to deliver new drug, alcohol and mental health program in regional South Australia

A new alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and mental health program, Evolve will be funded by Country SA PHN and delivered across areas in regional South Australia by Sonder from 1 July.

Evolve will offer an integrated care service whereby individuals can get support to reduce their AOD use and manage mental health concerns, all under the one roof.

The program will be delivered by professional Clinicians and Peer Support Workers, experienced in the treatment of AOD use concerns as well as providing psychological therapy for individuals concerned about their mental health.

Sageran Naidoo, CEO at Sonder explains

This program is unique in that it supports a peer support model. Peer Support Workers have lived experience of substance use and understand what clients are going through. This means they can provide helpful insights and strategies based on what has or hasn’t worked for them.

The service will be delivered from locations across Country SA including Sonder’s Nuriootpa Centre and a number of other consulting locations including Evanston, Victor Harbour and Kangaroo Island.

Individuals interested in the program can self-refer by completing a referral form, available at sonder.net.au/evolve or by calling the friendly team at Sonder on (08) 8209 0710.
