Our Reconciliation Action Plan
A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program provides a framework for organisations to be inclusive in their work and contribute to national reconciliation
Sonder acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical and emotional connection to their land. We pay respect to the Elders past, present and emerging.
Our vision for reconciliation is Better Care, Better Health & BetterAccess through a culturally safe workplace which builds understanding, respect and shared responsibility along with community leadership in our reconciliation journey.
Sonder’s 2021 – 2023 RAP will:
Support our journey to becoming a culturally safe and competent organisation.
Support us to develop positive and reflective relationships to enable us to listen, learn and be led by the people and communities we seek to support.
Connect and integrate with Sonder’s existing internal strategic directions, frameworks and policies, and inform the development of future organisational planning.
Enable us to create a workplace that is inclusive and open for both the organisation and the communities we work in through facilitating cultural learning opportunities for staff.
Build opportunities for leadership, employment and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples at Sonder.
