Walk-In After-Hours Mental Health Service

Open 5 to 9 pm, Monday to Friday

Are you looking for immediate support for mental health concerns?

People requiring support for their mental health outside of regular business hours can see a trained mental health clinician or a peer support worker with a lived experience of mental health concerns, for free.

Our Walk-in Mental Health Service is designed for people who want more support than a phone support line can offer, but who do not require admission to hospital – filling the gap between these two types of support.

At our service, you can speak to someone confidentially about what is going on for you right now as well as access referrals and information about other services that can help. Your worker can also give you some take home some strategies for dealing with any short-term distress or situational crisis.

Open 5 to 9 pm, Monday to Friday, for people aged 16 years and over.

Alternative support

Our Walk-in After-Hours Mental Health Service is not an emergency or crisis support service and we will be unable to meet the needs of clients who present:

  • As actively suicidal;
  • As actively experiencing psychosis;
  • Currently affected by substances or alcohol;
  • With high risk of aggression or violence.

Clients presenting with these conditions require more urgent support and should contact 000 or visit a hospital emergency department.
